Pittsburgh Steelers starting cornerback Artie Burns gave the team a scare when he left Wednesday's practice with a knee injury, but he reportedly expects to play in Sunday's playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Burns told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that an MRI showed he had a hyperextended right knee. He will have only limited participation in Thursday's practice but expects to be ready for the Jaguars.
"Once I just make it through the week as healthy as I can and be prepared for Sunday," Burns told pennlive.com before Thursday's practice. "I'm about to get some treatment right now and get ready for Sunday."
Burns started every game for the Steelers this season and joined Joe Haden and Mike Hilton as a respected cornerback threesome. Burns had one interception this season.
If Burns is unable to play, rookie Cameron Sutton will take his place in the starting lineup.
